Some information on accessibility are listed below. Detailed information can be found in the evaluation report at the end of the text.

  • There is a marked parking space for people with disabilities (parking space size: 430 cm x 620 cm; distance to the entrance approx. 50 m).
  • The path from the car park to the main entrance is easy to walk and drive on.
  • Access to the building is without thresholds and steps.
  • The reception counter with cash desk is 110 cm high. There is not an equivalent communication possibility while sitting.
  • The doors and passageways of the public areas are at least 90 cm wide. (Exception: sanitary room and the door of the room 230 with 69 cm and 81 cm)
  • All rooms that can be used by the guest are at ground level or can be reached by elevator.
  • The elevator cabs measur 111 cm x 140 cm and 108 cm x 209 cm. 
  • In the Marktbistro dining room there are wheelchair accessible tables.

Room  103  (single or double room)

  • The room is actually a single room, but can easily function as a double room with another single bed.
  • The maneuvering spaces in the sleeping area are 200 cm x 200 cm in front of essential immobile furnishings, 200 cm x 200 cm to the left of the bed, and the bed is against the wall on the right.
  • The maneuvering spaces in the bathroom are:
    in front of/behind the door, in front of the toilet and in front of the washbasin at least 150 cm x 150 cm;  
    to the left of the toilet 160 cm x 70 cm and to the right 30 cm x 70 cm. 
  • There are grab rails to the left and right of the toilet. The grab rail to the left of the WC can flipped-up.
  • The shower is accessible without thresholds. The maneuvering space in the shower is 160 cm x 140 cm.  
  • A shower seat is available or can be provided if required.  Grab rails are available in the shower.
  • The washbasin is wheelchair compatible. 
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.

Room 115 (single or double room)

  • The room is actually a single room, but can well function as a double room with another single bed.
  • The maneuvering spaces in the sleeping area are 200 cm x 200 cm in front of essential immobile furnishings, 200 cm x 200 cm to the right of the bed, and the bed is against the wall to the left.
  • The maneuvering spaces in the bathroom are:  
    in front of/behind the door, in front of the toilet and in front of the washbasin at least 150 cm x 150 cm;
    to the left of the toilet 30 cm x 70 cm and to the right 160 cm x 70 cm. 
  • There are grab rails to the left and right of the WC. The grab rail to the right of the toilet can be raised.
  • The shower is accessible without thresholds. The maneuvering space in the shower is 160 cm x 160 cm.
  • The washbasin is wheelchair compatible.

Public toilet for people with disabilities (on the ground floor)

  • The maneuvering spaces are as follows:  
    in front of the toilet, in front of the washbasin and in front of the toilet 120 cm x 150 cm,
    to the right of the toilet 100 cm x 70 cm, to the left 30 cm x 70 cm.
  • There are grab rails available on the right and left of the toilet. The grab rail can be flipped-up. 
  • The washbasin is wheelchair compatible and the mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.

  • There is no audio induction loop.
  • There is no visibly perceptible alarm in the building.
  • An outgoing emergency call in the elevator is confirmed audibly. Alternatively, stairs are available. 
  • In the restaurant/breakfast room Marktbistro there are tables with bright and glare-free lighting, on which there are no lamps standing or hanging that interfere with the field of vision or eye contact. 

Room 103 and 115 (single room/double room) 

  • The rooms are actually a single room, but can well function as a double room with another single bed.
  • The ringing or knocking on the door is indicated by a flashing signal which can be detected in all rooms. 
  • There is at least one electrical outlet near the bed.
  • Free WiFi access is available.
  • The ringing of the phone is indicated by a flashing signal.

  • Assistance dogs are allowed.
  • The entrance areas are visually rich in contrast and the house signs are designed in clearly legible, visually contrasting font.
  • Rooms and corridors are brightly lit.
  • There are no obstacles, e.g. objects protruding into the path/room.
  • In the elevators (main building and outbuilding), an emergency call is confirmed audibly. The stopping positions are not announced by speech.
  • Steps are not visually rich in contrast. Stairs have at least a handrail on one side. 
  • The menu of the Marktbistro dining room is designed in large, straightforward font.
  • Information is not available in Braille or prismatic font.
