Some information on accessibility are listed below. For detailed information please see the evaluation report.

  • There is no company-owned parking lot. Paid parking spaces are available in front of the building, but there is no designated parking space for people with disabilities.
  • The bus stop “Auf dem Sande (Speicherstadt)” is located in the immediate vicinity.
  • The path in front of the entrance is not easy to walk or drive on (cobblestones) and has a maximum longitudinal gradient of 6%.
  • The building is steplessly accessible via a ramp. 
  • All rooms that can be used by guests and are elevated are accessible without steps or via ramps and the exit is accessible via a stair lift. Thresholds are a maximum of 3 cm high.
  • All doors/passages that can be used by guests and are raised are at least 90 cm wide.
  • The Dungeon is accessible in small guided groups (maximum of two wheelchair users per group, maximum weight 220 kg). 
  • In places, the flooring is difficult to roll on; there are inclines of up to 14%. 
  • The two rides in the Dungeon (raft and freefall tower) cannot be used by guests who are unable to get up from a wheelchair independently.  
  • There are few seats available.
  • There is a public toilet for people with disabilities, which can be accessed from at least one side (at least 82 cm). There are folding grab rails to the left and right of the toilet.

  • In case of emergency, the emergency lighting is turned on and the dungeon is cleared by the staff.
  • There is no audio induction loop system.

  • Assistance dogs are allowed. Recommended to have the assistance dog in care due to the strong visual and auditory effects.
  • The entrance is visually rich in contrast, but not recognizable by a tactile change of floor covering.
  • The Dungeon is visited in guided small groups.
  • The lighting is very sparse. In case of emergency, the emergency lighting is turned on and the dungeon is cleared by the staff.
  • There are partially low vaulted ceilings.
  • Stairs sometimes have visually contrasting edges. There are handrails on at least one side.
  • Information is not available in Braille or prismatic font.
