AWO SANO Holiday Center Oberhof

The clean air, peace and quiet and untouched nature of Oberhof invite visitors to come and enjoy an active and relaxing holiday in the Thuringian Forest. The AWO SANO Ferienzentrum is a holiday centre situated in a quiet location directly on the edge of the village of Oberhof and just a few metres away from the Rennsteig Trail. The holiday centre is home to 70 rooms, eight of which have barrier-free designs and a further 20 of which are suitable for guests with walking disabilities. The centre’s own childcare service, the child-friendly restaurant and the welcoming service provided by all employees make every holiday here a relaxing and recuperating experience. The staff at the centre have many years of experience in supporting people with disabilities and are therefore well trained and know how to help in every situation. The holiday centre also contains a multitude of function rooms and is therefore ideal for group trips.

  • There are four marked parking spaces for people with disabilities (parking space size: 350 cm x 500 cm).
  • The path from the car park to the entrance is 150 m long. It is easy to walk and drive on and has a maximum longitudinal gradient of 5 % over a distance of 15 m.
  • The building is steplessly accessible.
  • All evaluated rooms and facilities available to the guests are steplessly accessible or via an elevator.
  • The elevator cabin measures 110 cm x 150 cm.
  • All evaluated passageways/doors available to the guests are at least 80 cm wide.
  • Exception: the two sauna doors with 68 cm each.
  • There are wheelchair accessible tables available in the Restaurants (maximum height 80 cm, wheelchair accessible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm).
