Frankfurt am Main, 1 September 2026 – GetYourGuide Deutschland GmbH, the online booking platform for tours and leisure activities, is now a member of the German National Tourist Board (GNTB). The GNTB’s Board of Directors unanimously approved the company’s application for membership. This brings the total number of GNTB members to 65, including the tourism marketing organisations of Germany’s 16 federal states, companies from the tourism industry, as well as public bodies, associations and marketing organisations. In addition, various sponsors support the GNTB’s global sales and marketing network.

Petra Hedorfer, CEO of the GNTB, explains: “Authenticity, unique experiences and personalised travel planning are highly valued by international travellers. With its online-bookable tours and leisure activities, GetYourGuide supports our goal of increasing the international visibility of German experiential offerings in the digital space and ensuring they can be booked directly. Together with partners like GetYourGuide, we aim to expand tourism-driven economic growth in Germany.”

Experiences are an important part of local economic cycles. Tours, guided visits, and cultural and entertainment offerings create demand for local providers and shape how international guests discover cities and regions.

Tao Tao, COO of GetYourGuide GmbH, elaborates: “Membership of the GNTB strengthens our partnership with the German tourism industry. Together, we want to help international guests discover the diversity of German cities and regions through unique experiences and make local guides, cultural institutions and other experience providers more visible and accessible to them.”
