Navigating towards a sustainable future: The GNTB Knowledge Days on June 28 and 29, 2022

The Knowledge Days, organized once a year by the German National Tourist Board (GNTB), stand for sustainable and digital tourism development in Germany as a travel destination, enabling players in the travel and tourism industry to use generated data as well as digital services and AI-based applications in innovative directions. Tuesday, June 28, 2022, 11:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.: Market Insights & Digital Tourism Trends

The online event will open with a keynote by Andreas Reiterer, ZTB Zukunftsbüro Vienna, who will explore the post-pandemic future of tourism. Other program topics will be dedicated to current market insights, such as the status quo and recovery of GNTB Incoming or the important local and overseas source markets of Austria and the USA. The first Knowledge Day will be rounded off by a panel discussion on the wide-ranging topic of "Rethinking City Tourism".

Wednesday, June 29, 2022, 10:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.: Digital Technologies & Social Media Trends

Digital online and social media marketing expert Dr. Theo Pham, CEO, Digital IQ GmbH, will open the second Knowledge Day with his keynote speech "Life is a Video Game - Welcome to the Metaverse". Other speakers will then address the digital opportunities and challenges of sustainability-oriented tourism.

Afterwards, two content creation workshops will provide tips on strategically building successful podcasts and engaging social media and online content. The third and final focus of the program will include a practical social media deep dive by Denise Böhm from the GNTB on how to implement successful advertising measures for the social media platform Pinterest.

The GNTB Knowledge Days are directed exclusively at GNTB members and sponsors. In addition to knowledge transfer, participants will also have the opportunity for professional interaction and networking.
