Bayern Park: thrills, fun and adventure for all

Bayern Park is a vast all-weather paradise with over 80 attractions for the whole family. It is located in Reisbach in the southern part of Lower Bavaria between the spa resorts of Bad Füssing, Bad Griesbach and Bad Birnbach.

When it comes to family fun and adventure, Bayern Park has been a firm favourites for years – and deservedly so. At the entrance to the park, you are greeted by magnificent floral displays that are a delight for green-fingered visitors in particular. A leisurely ride on the Bayern Park Express is the best way to get your bearings. It takes you past the horse riding area, the frog ride (children's rollercoaster) and the whitewater rafting. The swirling mushrooms and the dance of the butterflies are great fun. Other attractions include the donkey riding area, the boat swing and the wave flyer. Those looking for a gentler pace will find a whole host of smaller attractions – the children's railroad through the land of the dwarves, for example, or the piggy ride. You can visit the fairytale castles of King Ludwig II, albeit somewhat smaller than the originals! There are all kinds of animals to see, some of which you can stroke. The 'Olympus of the animals' nature trail is both fun and educational and features imaginative quiz stations where visitors of all ages will learn about animal behaviour. Children who are still bursting with energy can head to the huge trampoline area and jump up and down to their hearts' content. After working up an appetite you can get food and drink at the Hofstadl or in the inviting beer garden.

The Freischuetz catapult rollercoaster at Bayern Park offers the ultimate adrenaline rush. Going from 0 to 80 km/h in 2.3 seconds, and with a top-hat inversion, loop-the-loop and two heartline rolls, it will satisfy even the most daring thrill-seeker. The whitewater rafting is also really cool. In just under four minutes you'll experience all the fun and adventure of a twisting, turning raft ride. At around 600 metres, the ride is one of the longest of its kind in Germany and features river rapids, geysers and a waterfall. Thrilling downhill rides are also offered by the 600m twinbob toboggan run and the 350m summer toboggan run. Firm favourites with the little ones are the railway, the piggy ride, the turtle ride and the swan carousel. The Mount Zugspitze climbing wall is a real hit with all children and offers a completely safe climbing experience.
