Bad Schmiedeberg is located in the heart of the Düben Heath Nature Park, where the diverse landscape provides a stunning backdrop for this spa town. Fitness and relaxation are the order of the day here, with plenty of opportunity for both.

Bad Schmiedeberg is one of the very few spa resorts to have three remedies available on its doorstep: mud, spring water and radon. The mud here has been used to alleviate symptoms associated with rheumatism, osteoporosis and gout for some 140 years now. Visitors can benefit from the spring water's healing powers by drinking it or bathing in it. Plus, the water is also used for radon treatments since the Kurfürstenbrunnen is a source of water containing the noble gas radon. Bad Schmiedeberg has also come to be known for its effective Kneipp hydrotherapy treatments. The cities of Torgau, Dessau, Leipzig and Berlin are just a short drive away.
