The Salzalpensteig, between Germany and Austria, leads through several hiking and holiday regions on 18 daily stages. It traces the history of salt production and runs through traditional hiking areas and numerous tourist highlights, such as the magnificent Herrenchiemsee Castle.
With a total of 230 km, the Salzalpensteig offers us numerous facets for experienced hikers and nature lovers seeking relaxation. The Salzalpensteig leads us between Prien am Chiemsee to Obertraun through varied landscapes, past historical and eventful places including Bad Reichenhall and the Königsee. Each stage, each region has its own individual character, its authentic charm, its culinary and cultural delights.
