Where valuable salt was once smuggled, today's cycle tourists can enjoy valuable experiences: on quiet paths, they roll past castles and farm cafes through half-timbered towns and enchanted forests.

Sometimes flat, sometimes slightly hilly, but always with little traffic: this 148-kilometre route through the Münsterland parkland and the Teutoburg Forest is just the thing for a relaxing short trip on two wheels. The route starts in Warendorf, between the half-timbered houses and the town hall with its colourful 'Drachenköppen', and then continues along former trade routes, passing castles such as Loburg and the Harkotten double castle complex. Bad Iburg attracts visitors not only with its treetop walkway, but also with its memories of old border stories. Here and at eleven other listening stations along the route, you can hear them told in an entertaining way.
