Reopening of GNTB sales offices in Singapore, Canada, and Brazil – new members join the committees

Frankfurt am Main, 7 November 2025 – At its 109th meeting on November 4, 2025, in Frankfurt, the Administrative Board of the German National Tourist Board (GNTB) decided to reopen three sales offices in Singapore, Canada, and Brazil. These had been closed as a result of the coronavirus pandemic and budgetary constraints. Due to the great potential and increasing competition among destinations, long-standing market development in these countries is to be resumed from 2026 in order to further strengthen incoming tourism to Germany.

In addition, the 128th General Assembly of the GNTB elected three new members to the 18-member Board of Directors at its meeting on November 5.

The new members of the board are

  • Ann-Kathrin Mack, Managing Director of Europa-Park GmbH & Co. Mack KG
  • Dr. Tillmann Blaschke, Managing Director of Staatliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Meissen GmbH
  • Albin Loidl, President of DRV Deutscher Reiseverband e.V.

The newly elected members of the Board of Directors will take over the vacant seats on the board for the remaining term of office until the end of 2026 from Michael Mack, Managing Partner of Europa-Park GmbH & Co Mack KG, Gerhard Griebler, Managing Director of Passionsspiele Oberammergau Vertriebs GmbH & Co. KG, and Norbert Fiebig, Honorary President of DRV Deutscher Reiseverband e.V., who have resigned from their positions.

In addition, Melanie Broyé-Engelkes, Managing Director of the German Wine Institute, was elected to the GNTB Advisory Board. She takes over the position from her predecessor Monika Reule.
