Environmental Youth Hostel Neuschönau-Waldhäuser.
The youth hostel for families and nature fans at the foot of the local mountain Lusen (1,373 m) in the highest mountain village in the Bavarian Forest Nature Park. The hostel has 136 beds, divided into one to eight-bed rooms, which are located in the historic Ameishof and the Lindenhof. Neuschönau-Waldhäuser Youth Hostel is the ideal starting point for leisure activities in nature. Here you learn to understand nature. The hostel with its forest education programmes is certified as an environmental youth hostel. Conference rooms and a laboratory await inquisitive and young researchers. In summer, there is the possibility of cycling tours, extended hikes, also cross-border to the Czech Republic and Austria. The national park with animal enclosure, treetop walk, etc. is right on the doorstep. In winter, it is an ideal place for alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing or tobogganing.
