Some information on accessibility are listed below. For detailed information please see the evaluation report at the end of the text.

  • There is a general parking lot. The parking spaces for people with disabilities are not marked (parking space size: 350 cm x 500 cm, distance to the entrance: 75 m, surface quality: firm meadow).
  • Access to the park (outdoor cash desk) is threshold-free and stepless. The door at the cashier's office is opened by a service employee.
  • The counter at the cashier's office is 104 cm high, the entrance is 102 cm wide. There is no other communication possibility while sitting.
  • Doors and passageways are at least 90 cm wide. There are no carousel or rotary doors.
  • The length of the main path is 2,500 m. The circular path is almost completely paved with a smooth tar surface and the surface is easy to walk and drive on. At the rear of the park there are fixed gravel paths. In addition to the main path, there is an 8 km long network of side paths (the side paths with wood chips have limited passability).
  • The information and exhibits are visible, perceptible and legible in a sitting position.
  • Aids offered: wheelchair, walker
  • Guided tours are offered for people with walking disabilities and wheelchair users. Seating is available. The entire route is steplessly accessible for wheelchair users. A reservation is required.

Public toilet for people with disabilities

  • The door opens inwards without restricting the maneuvering spaces.
  • The maneuvering spaces are as follows:
    • at the door 165 cm x 90 cm,
    • in front of the toilet 165 cm x 180 cm and in front of the washbasin 200 cm x 110 cm,
    • left of the toilet 29 cm x 47 cm, right 100 cm x 47 cm,
  • There are handles on both sides of the toilet. The right handle can be folded up.
  • The washbasin has limited wheelchair access and the mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.

  • Information on the exhibits is provided in written form.
  • Guided tours are offered for people with hearing impairment. A reservation is required.

  • Assistance dogs are allowed.
  • The stepless access to the park through the cashier's office is visually contrasting to the surroundings, but not recognizable by a tactile change of floor covering.
  • There is no revolving door.
  • Paths are visually rich in contrast almost everywhere and predominantly marked with tactile markings.
  • Signs are clearly legible but not in Braille.
  • There are no obstacles, e.g. objects protruding into the path / room.
  • On the outside paths in the park there are tactilely detectable and partly visually contrasting walkway boundaries.
  • The information on the exhibits is visually rich in contrast.
  • Guided tours for visually impaired people are offered. There are exhibits to touch. A reservation is required.
