A horticultural gem steeped in East German history

The egapark in Erfurt is much more than one of Germany's prettiest parks. Established in 1961 for the first International Garden Exhibition on socialist soil, it remains an important emblem of the former East Germany.

Bremen Bürgerpark is a wonderful illustration of how nature can be 'designed' by man. This park paradise covers 202 hectares in the heart of the city.
