Accessible Tourism Day
On March 4, 2026, the international trade event will feature interesting presentations and discussions as part of ITB Berlin.
The fourteenth edition of the “Accessible Tourism Day” will take place as an in-person event on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to approximately 5:00 p.m. at the Messe Berlin exhibition grounds in the City Cube, Hall A5, as part of ITB Berlin. Interested parties also have the opportunity to participate online (hybrid event).

The DZT 2026 will focus on the following topics with keynote speeches, presentations, and panel discussions:
- Practical examples/projects (from practice for practice)
- Accessible cultural offerings
- Accessible accommodations
- AI and technology
- Vacations on and around the water
The event will be opened by the Federal Government Coordinator for Maritime Economy and Tourism, Dr. Christoph Ploß, Member of the German Bundestag, as well as the Federal Government Commissioner for the Interests of People with Disabilities, Jürgen Dusel, and André Nowak, spokesperson for the Tourism Working Group at the German Disability Council.
The “Barrier-Free Tourism Day” is sponsored by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and supported by Messe Berlin.
The event is being organized with the support of the state working group “Tourism for All,” the working group “Easier Travel – Barrier-Free Vacation Destinations in Germany,” and the Tourism Working Group of the German Disability Council (DBR).
The event languages are German and English (with simultaneous translation).
Sign language and written interpreters will also be available.
The event is accessible without steps (partly via elevators) via the “Messedamm” and “Jafféstraße” entrances, the interior of the exhibition grounds, and a passageway from Hall 7.
