Germany’s railway network covers over 33,000 km and connects cities and regions with over 1,500 long-distance trains every day. The Intercity-Express (ICE) trains are the fastest, most modern and most comfortable trains on the Deutsche Bahn (DB) network. Additionally, we operate Intercity and Eurocity trains, providing regular connections between German and European cities and into popular touristic regions. Almost everyone in Germany is familiar with them: the white trains with red stripes on the sides, the ICE fleet of Deutsche Bahn. Our ICE trains connect Germany's cities quickly and comfortably, e.g. Berlin-Munich in under four hours or Frankfurt and Cologne in about an hour. In addition, ICE trains also run to neighbouring European countries, e.g. from Frankfurt to Paris or from Berlin to Amsterdam, Vienna or Zurich.
ICE trains offer a high standard of comfort and allow passengers to concentrate on their work at their seats or relax during their journey, as they wish. The adjustable seats in rows have folding tables, while the seats in a vis-à-vis arrangement have a larger table.
On all ICE trains, you got free Wi-Fi during your journey. You can stream series or films via the ICE portal and use the on-board catering service. The 1st class carriages convey a calm atmosphere thanks to their particularly spacious design. Wider seats and more legroom guarantee individual space at your seat.
With a top speed of up to 300 km/h, the ICE sets high standards in terms of speed, technology and comfort.
